A historical drama about Andres Bonifacio, the Katipunan leader who helped spark the Philippine revolution. Inspired by Jose Rizal, he transforms from a reformist into a revolutionary, leading the masses with his wife Gregoria de Jesus. As internal conflicts arise, his leadership is challenged during the Tejeros Convention. He is eventually betrayed, arrested, and executed. The film presents Bonifacio as the nation’s true first president.
